CLASSICAL: Waltz of The Flowers – Berlin Philharmonic (founded 1882)
Tchaikovsky’s iconic Waltz of the Flowers is a piece of orchestral music that features in the second act of his everloved festive ballet The Nutcracker. The ballet was premiered at Christmastime in 1892, and has since been one of the most popular ballets in the world.
I can clearly remember (decades ago) sitting on the couch with our youngest son, listening to the 1812 Overture and then The Nutcracker Suite. His earliest exposure to classical music. He loved it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUF9g9V-Ang
